HiTrack 5 System Requirements
Clients (End Users)
The HiTrack 5 client interface is web-driven and accessed via the web browser installed on the client’s computer.
- Windows 10 or newer operating system
- Modern Web Browser: Edge, Firefox or Chrome updated within the last 6 months
- JavaScript must be enabled for the HiTrack web application site
- Popup windows must be allowed for the HiTrack web application site
- Automatic downloads should be allowed for PDF and DOCX files

Servers (IT)
HiTrack 5 requires two Microsoft server technologies: (1) Microsoft SQL Server to store patient data and (2) Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) to present the web pages to the clients. These two technology components can either reside together on one server or be split up to run on two separate servers. Server clustering for these technologies is also supported, provided that you manage the appropriate clustering support. Load balancing is recommended only when more than 200 concurrent users are expected.
- Recommended: 64-bit Microsoft Windows 2019 Server operating system or newer. Minimum: 64-bit Microsoft Windows 2016
- Recommended: Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or newer. Minimum: Microsoft SQL Server 2016
- Hardware minimum requirements match those that Microsoft recommends for the operating system and SQL Server edition that you choose. Requirements will scale upwards from there for large amounts of data and large numbers of users. A minimum of 8 GB of system memory is recommended, however being able to store the entire database (MDF) in RAM is a good general guide metric for memory configuration.
